For Schools Because:
Myrkdalen has an outstanding ski school that allows beginner skiers to progress rapidly throughout your trip. The large wide slopes and excellent lift system allow for as much time as possible spent on the slopes. The resort also has easy access between slopes, parking, cabins, and apartments making it ideal for large school groups. Mini skiing competitions for children are hosted with everyone involved receiving a prize. This is a great opportunity for the children to show off the skills they’ve learnt across the trip. The uncrowded slopes and beautiful views of frozen lakes make it a great choice for all involved.
One of Myrkdalen’s biggest attractions is the historic Fläm Railway Trip. In 2014, Lonely Planet named it the world’s most beautiful train journey. Open all year, the journey takes you through sensational panoramic views and is open for groups of any size. Night skiing is also available for a spectacular evening activity, or if you’ve had enough of the slopes for one day then there’s the opportunity to take part in a fjord safari.
